Our Van Travels

For the last twelve Months have been on the backburner due to Familly woes:( , first it was the Brother IN Law who was diagnosed with Bowel cancer !!.. Proffessor /ers told him he was lucky they caught it in time and twelve months later we were getting ready to head off in his direction with the Van , Northern Rivers along the way where we mostly visist when we got a call from his wife that he was in Hospital!!.. Had a funny feeling on this one so talked the MIssus into laying the Van up for the time being and fly down to Wollongong and spend some time with him which was lucky we did as we spent he last two near three weeks of his life with him!!!..

Apparently the cancer was continuousely moving the Goalposts was the wording from his Specialist /s .

And that did put a damper on our travels for a time being especially on the Wifes side which i didnt mind as both felt deeply for his Loss ey..

Now My youngest Daughter had a small lump removed from her throat which was checked out and found traces of cancer  and has to have her Thyaroid removed and a lymph node or two?? so Van on hold where it sits for some time longer :(.

Know its a long way of getting to our travels but for those that do , do try spend some time on / in the Northern Rivers are N.S.W. some really beutifull country around that region ey. Rivers are stunning and no shortage of a feed of fish if that is to your likeing :) , and if you dont like to catch your own ?? dont be afraid to bargain with the Commercial Boys comming in after a days or overnight catch .

Would like to mention a favourite area but find it hard as we like most of the areas down that way.

So far havent been able to drive further than Wollongong after the Northern areas region and both times it took us four months :)..

Need to get to do the GreaT Ocean Road and into South Australia yet but will have to wait.

Far as Queensland is Concerned we spend quite a bit of time along the Sunshine Coast if and when these Southern Imigrants leave some spare space for us lol .

Maroochy and Broadwater  are favourites for us with Noosa close behind and i do like to gget as close to the water as possible due to my Fishing addiction ey , so dont mind forking up the extra $$ or two for a possy close to the Briney:)..

Yep really looking forward to heading off again:)..
