Important alert for people in Victoria

UPDATE 1:20pm AEDT WATCH & ACT remains in place for a grassfire along the Prince Highway near Pirron Yallock, west of Colac.

Vic Emergency says the fire is not yet under control and is travelling in a south-easterly direction towards Pirron Yallock and Swan Marsh.

Firefighters are trying to stop the spread of the fire and say staying close to shelter is the safest option in case conditions change again suddenly.
