We left the street market about 20-30 minutes before the fun started. I wonder if it had anything to do with the street food vendor set up with a charcoal barbecue under the verandah??? That'd be a big effn claim!

One thing that amazed me was that in one of the films of the building, you could plainly see two crates of LPG gas cylinders sitting at the front door.

Don't Bunnings put these under lock and key at night ????

Even empty these cylinders are still a risk in a fire.

''Oh well''  that's another shed they will have to rebuild.

The store may have still been open... it was as we walked past. If not, it could easily have still been under the shut-down process.

Think they actually lease the premises  from what I hear.   I worked for a guy who owned one in Perth (few years ago now) that was leased to Bunnings, built to their Specs.

I suspect the fire is the least of their worries at the moment, do they risk ending up like Masters? one billion dollars is a pretty big hit.
