POSSIBLE FLOODING ON NULLARBOR....


FLOOD DETAILS:  
As at 21/02/2018 10:51:00 the Bureau of Meteorology advises areas of flooding are expected to develop in the Nullarbor District Rivers Catchment.The remnants of Ex TC Kelvin contracts southeastwards through the Southern Interior and into the Eucla today and early Thursday. In the last 24 hours to 9 am Wednesday, rainfall totals of 25 mm at Seemore Downs, 23 mm at Rawlinna Depot and 13 mm at red Rocks Point have been recorded.For the 24 hours to 9 am Thursday, widespread rainfall totals of 50 to 75 mm are forecast for the Nullarbor District area with isolated totals of 120 mm possible. For the 24 hours to 9 am Friday, no significant rainfall is expected.

Eucla District:

Heavy rainfall is expected to cause significant river rises, areas of flooding and adversely affect road conditions in the catchment area. Some roads may become impassable and some communities may become isolated.

People in Nullabor District Rivers need to take action now as Minor flooding is expected over the coming days. Locations which may be affected include Eucla, Rawlina, ****lediddy, Balladonia and Caiguna.
Water will be fast flowing and levels will rise quickly.
