If the van rolls ovet say 90 degrees from normal wont the van cause the car to also roll by twisting on the ball? Im just asking a question.

There are a few hitches that allow the van to rotate while the tug stays upright. My McHitch is one. Maybe could be an advantage in some situations. I won't be trying to demonstrate this any time soon.

I rolled a trailer on the GRR in 1999. It actually rolled 270 degrees.
There is no question that the motorhome would also have rolled if the hitch was not capable of full rotation.
It is a TREG hitch and we always use these because they allow full rotation and full forward/back articulation.

Thanks guys. I'll look for a treg Mt worry is, my little old car could flip and it doesnt have a roll bar.

I think that sums it up really. There are lots of things that might happen but are so unlikely why stress about them all. Just drive conservatively and keep your eyes open for trouble spots.

Have a look at the Trigg Bros Hitch - very similar to the TREG but cheaper. TREG is steel, Trigg is cast iron & both made by good companies in Adelaide.

I've had two TREGs, on my first Trigg.
