Air-con condensate

Hi Campers, has anyone any idea where the air-con condensate tube (in a van) usually is? Had a couple of very hot days last week and used the air-con most of two days.  When turned off for overnight - I could hear a drip-drip sound...  We checked and could find no leak from usual water pipes/washing machine/shower etc.... Can't find a leak either so it's a bit of a mystery....  Hate wearing earplugs....   thanks Jay-Jay

Most if not all rooftop rattlers exude their condensate straight onto the roof where it either puddles or finds its way over the edge somewhere.

The mini split things like jayco poptops used to fit, think they were called the Harrier, have a tube routed inside the wall cavity to somewhere underneath, they can and do often get blocked causing condensate to run out the front of the Air handler unit in the van. I found this the hard way in my Jayco Freedom pop top.

I'd be searching for the drip as it could be causing some future rot problems if inside the wall cavity somewhere.

Heron split system, just sort of dribbles out at bottom of plastic vent area, it looks bad, but average design and appears to do no actual harm. You can down load all heron stuff as well.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but my old Westport A/C has developed a slight downturn in the rear of the top f'glass top.  After rain or very heavy dew, moisture runs off this valley & drips onto the roof making a drum like noise.

I eventually identified the source of the annoyance, much relieved that it was not a roof leak, and 'stopped' it by throwing up an old bag under the drip to deaden the noise.

Our condensate just runs out of the bottom of the unit & across the roof, usually then across the awning to dribble down the low end.
