Info on C222 road, Hall's Gap to Horsham.

Any info on he C222, via Wartook and Laharum to Horsham? We are towing a Jayco Penguin tourer with an Escape diesel, don't want to shake the Penguin to bits. Vaguely remember remember seeing a sign 'not suitable for van's.

Gday...

It's been a while since I drove all of that journey.

But the section from Halls Gap through the Grampians is very steep, narrow and twisty. It is quite probably on that bit you saw a sign about unsuitability for vans.

I was through the Grampians earlier in the year without my van and the roads you suggest are all sealed and good quality just a bit tight for a van praps and with some very steep pinches - ascent and descent.

Once out of the Grampians, from my memory, all good sailing.

Cheers - John

That road was suitable for caravans 15 years ago.

+1  Very winding and a few steep pinches,  but sealed all the way.  Smallish to medium van no probs but a big one may struggle.
