Thumbs Up For Tumbarumba Shire.

On our recent trip to the Upper Murray/Alpine region of VIC & NSW we stayed at three Tumbarumba Shire Council free camps.

They were immaculate, had basic toilets & plenty of bins. The signage describing the camping regulations was also good common sense.

Well done! thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

Beautiful part of the planet. Camped at Jingellic annually (almost) since 1998 on the first weekend in December (camp at Greens on the way). Even got hot showers (token from the pub). However our annual event is this weekend not next weekend due to the cabins being booked out (about 1/2 of the group book the cabins at the pub) and I have commitments this weekend. However still may annoy those campers at Greens regardless.

Daughter & grandson stayed recently at Towing (NSW side) in a free camp full of grey nomads. They had a great evening. Noise after 10pm was limited to snoring & farting.

That would be TOWONG, we stayed there as well. Great spot, virtually empty when we were there.

Still plenty of snoring & farting though (ours). laughing.giflaughing.gif
