Toilet not flushing

The toilet in our 2009 Jayco will not flush with the button next to the seat.

Have checked all fuses, mains in van and out near the capsule in the back. do these electronic units fail regularly and should I just replace it?

You can pull the submersible pump out and try it directly on the battery.

Love it.... I couldn't think of a polite way to say it.

if its like our jayco the pump is located under the toilet roll holder, if you don't drain the flush tank periodically bacteria builds up and can block the pump inlet. We put a touch of bleach in the water after a trip before draining the tank and haven't had a problem since started doing that. HTH

If you have a Thetford toilet, I have a similar issue if my vehicle is stored for a length of time. It's relatively easy to fix.

   1. Remove the toilet roll holder.

   2. Locate the single screw holding the pump, it's directly under the roll holder.

3  The pumps have a habit of jamming, turn pump upside down.

   4. Using a screwdriver or pliers turn the impellor until free, you can test the pump out of the water by pressing the flush button.

   5. now the tricky part replacing the pump securing screw, I tape the screw to a Phillip's screwdriver to do this.

This should fix the jammed pump.
