I have the same aircon and find the same temps. It's the same on 240v or gene. I have a fan assisting with circulation as well and seems to help. I reckon 27 is better than 40+.

I dont think you'll achieve much better. Our house aircon usually achieves 15-18c below ambient. A caravan would be a worse case imo. So 13c below is ok.

I have a new Ibis 3 in my Sprinter motor home and performance is disappointing to say the least when compared to my Split System Inverter Air Con I have on my Viscount caravan rear bumper. The Ibis gets down to 22C on a 35C day however the split system is far more efficient and gets down to 18C with no effort, 10 times as quiet and only cost me $800 to purchase. Although an amateur, I was able to fit both units myself so some saving there.
For those that may respond with a question mark on the ruggedness of splits on rear bumpers, well mine has had about 7 years on the road and still going strong. Its a pity I couldn't find space on the Sprinter for a split system otherwise the Ibis would be in the bin.
