Bosch Has Launched Its Safety Control System

Gday...

This is a fairly long read ... but, hey, what else is more important than safer towing ??

https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car-news/tested-bosch-safety-control-system-with-abs-and-sway-mitigation-for-trailers/

Cheers - John

Hi John

The system seems to work pretty good
when it is interesting to read it seems not to be that long
It's like a good book John

Thanks for sharing this

Regards John

I may be dumb, but if a van is setup correctly - weights, distribution etc then sway should 'never' happen. Are both the Al-Ko and Bosch systems a fix for a poor setup?
Will such systems result in less intelligent tow vehicle/caravan setups.
Bottom line I guess is that it's just another form of insurance for when we (inevitably) stuffup!
I f I towed a gin palace I certainly reckon I'd have the Bosch system fitted...just for insurance.

Good Luck

hako i couldnt say if your dumb or not but there must be lots of reasons a perfectly set up van may suddenly sway. **** eye bob large truck going past tyre blow out a large dip in the road the list would go on and many tow vehicles are on there tow limit to start with safety for your self and other road users is paramount

Personally.

I think it's MORE IMPORTANT...
For the driver to get as much experience as possible.
And practice SWAY control on empty roads.
I always did.
Crash stops. Hand controller lever stops. Swaying and crash stops,
combined.

EVERYTHING to make you and your rig as one.

One day......

Adding all this crap just makes a driver complacent.
"It'll save me\Control rig". etc.

OH ****.... It didn't. crunch.

GET TO KNOW YOUR RIG.
PLUS. Your, and it's limits.

We ALL have them.
