Strainer for kitchen sink

Read this on another forum - thought it was a great idea.

This person uses one of those stainless steel tangled wire scrubbers, plugged in the sink hole the water still escapes, but all the little bits that invariably end up in the sink - yes I know, rinse them off first - where?  In the sink?

I thought it was a good idea, tried it, and it works, so thought I would share.

Good idea Jules. I had to throw out a grey water hose, because some thing must have gone down and got stuck causing a god awful stink that would not go away. Even tried a good soaking of nappisan for a while. didn't work.

Cheers, John.

Hi John ,next time you're buying a grey water hose ,get one without all the ribs on the inside (the smooth bore one ) they are a little bit dearer than the other ones .

Then when something gets stuck ,get a water hose with high pressure nozzle and give it a good blast. It worked for me .

Cheers.

Agree with Blues Man smooth bore imperative - when we return home I attach my hoses to the swimming pool filter outlet in the pool and run in pool for a day or two they come out sparkling and chlorinated inside and out.
