The weekender

Good evening all,

I think a lot of Nomads would understand moments of insanity.

We live full time in a 25ft Jayco Heritage and have done for the past 8 years, but just the other day I decided it would be easier to buy another rig to be able to get away for a weekend every now and then rather than pack up the big girl. Crazy right!

Well I started searching the web for a pre loved PopTop. After 1 near miss via a con artist who had exactly what I wanted but who wanted payment up front and then would have the van delivered. I said no that I would pick it up from the east coast (Lennox Head as advertised) it turned out the van was situated apparently on the west coast ( Broome actually)

Anyway I do have a habit of rambling on, the end of this story is that we found or should I say Bev found what I wanted about 80 km from home base, so first test run next weekend.

Hi Crackles - Craig - met you in Monto (Blazeaid) friends of Ian Meade, came in to see him there, met you.

Still doing Blazeaid? Where are you now? We are on the coast in WA, heading to a meet up at Seabird in late September - might see you on the road somewhere. Good old Ian and Colleen are in Canada.

Hello Jules,
Yes remember meeting you at Monto, we are not doing BlazeAid at the moment as we are helping our son in law on his property just out of Moree. We look like being here for a while so have set up the base van in a shed on the banks of the Gwydir River. It seems the only chance we have of hitting the road again is for short weekend runs. I am living the good life vicariously through the Grey Nomads website unfortunately for the next couple of years then back on the road full time God Willing.
I check the site every night and had noticed Sarg hasn't been on for awhile hope they are having a great time lucky devils.

Anyway stay safe

Craig

Chris n Chris you are right definitely no lotto yet but still trying. Bit more work to do to make the weekender ready to bush camp but time is something I seem to have Plenty of.

There is still plenty of room in the yard you know

cheers
