Toowoomba showgrounds

does anyone know the cost of staying here please. Also, can you recommend anywhere else in the area for a large caravan to stop.

I have to say I haven't stopped there but three nights ago I stopped for the night at Millmerran Showgrounds, Flat sites with power was $20 per night.

Depending on your trip it's an alternative. Heading from Toowoomba towards Goondiwindi it's signposted as you get into town on the right.

Their website says $25, hot showers, toilets, power and dump point.

We were there about 3 weeks ago, and we camped next to the lake.
A pretty good spot, nice caretakers. A good base to explore the town. Yep $25

We stopped at Federation Park out of town for one night. No cost. Just mentioning

Federation Park can be a bit dodgy at weekends and was a meeting place for 'certain' types although I think recently the police keep an eye on it.
Showground has heaps of room and is a lovely spot as mentioned above.

Good Luck.

Near the lake is good if you like to mingle with a flock of geese. :)

in Millmerren here is a  free camp site virtually less than a klm from the main street. Must be self contained. We have stayed there twice for a total of 5 days.

Note!!!! Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers celebrations are set down for some time in September.
