I'm planning to visit next month. Does anyone know what camping facilities are like in the area?

We stayed there last night, Mon 24 June. Francis Hotel is the answer for all things. Guppy can organise you a great meal, a cold beer, a coffee, or basic shop supplies. He will also take your $5.50, yes only $5.50, for your powered site, which is near the silos. The ground is gravelled, but flat. The toilets and showers are only a hop skip and jump away, but the water is bore water, ok for shower, but I would not drink it.

We had a great time giving the bana benders a bit of a rough time about the game, but all was in good spirit, or beer......

Relax-n, Do you use WikiCamps? No one has put any details into the prices section. Maybe you would care to add the price there.on for that site.

As well as  the site  Relax-n recommended there is also the show-ground at the same price with similar facilities. Both are in WikiCamps.

Yes I do play a bit with WikiCamps, but not very tech savvy. I have tried in the past to add things, but without success. I keep my ears open for any nearby travellers who are discussing wiki so I can get some pointers.

The area at Thallon is called the rec grounds, but it is across the road from the grounds on an open lot. There are a few trees. For the price and short walk to pub, cant complain. The silos are something to see first thing in the morning with the sunlight.

Relax-n - When you are looking at the prices do you see his at the top of the page?

WikiCamps prices.JPG

If not then you need to open an account (if need be) and sign in. You will then have this editing box at the top.

Put your price in the bottom field (surprisingly some only put it in the top one and free comes up on the RHS. When you are signed in you can also add comments and add pictures.

You will also then see a link "Edit Site" at the top RH corner when you ate looking at the "Details." You can then use that if wish to correct any errors in the details section.
