Hi Travel Bug,

The silo's look great, we went through there on Sunday, we also pulled up at the roadside cafe, Daco milk bar, good on the little community of Thallon & great work by John Murray on his gorgeous painting. I hope lots of travelers stop by to check it out, I hate to see these little places dying off, this should hopefully bring people in  ?

We are doing the Coonamble water tower, and the Victorian silos in the next month. Thallon is in the 'must see' list - another time though.

Yes, Will go take a look at this one when it warms up a bit. The painted silos are all very different and lovely to see. Thanks for showing us your photo. Cheers.

G'day Koala,

I was in Thallon a few weeks ago, unfortunately before the silos were painted. I lifted that photo from an internet news site. I'll have to wait until I go through there again to see them finished.

I completely agree with you about the Daco Milk Bar. I had the most wonderful, freshly made for me, pineapple crush. Yummy!!

Hopefully it will boost visitor numbers to the town when word about the silos gets out.

Safe and happy travels. smile

RosieW,

The Coonamble water tower and the Victorian silos are on my list too. Might have to wait until next year now though.

Safe and happy travels. smile

Hi Gaylehere,

I posted the photo because a few people (myself included) thought that they were finished a couple of months ago...and when I got there...the silos were bare.biggrin

I will go back again soon though.

Take care.
