Feeding wildlife bread

During a recent visit to the Barron River at Cairns, a couple of visitors said they had forgotten to bring bread to feed the ducks. Vets and Park rangers discourage this activity as it causes health and behaviour problems for the animals as well as, uneaten bread changes the water quality, causing blue green algae.

Enjoy nature

White bread\buns nor grain,
NOT a good idea.
The Processing andadditives do them no good.

We buy a 2\3\5kg bag of grain\seeds from pet shops when avail.

Just throw them. Or hand feed with that.

Keeps both you and the birds happier.
Di now spends over $60 a week on meats for the Eagles. Hawks. Kooka's, Maggies. Blackbird, Butchers. And anything else that flaps in for a feed.
and Bloody long legged, Black shi--ing long beaked squawkers.

Yet, I want 25 bucks for some torch parts. Yea. In your dreams.

She'd die if she knew what I spent on boats and fishing over the yrs.
Last outboard. Opti... Told her $7 1\2k.
(Forgot to mention the $20k in front of that shhhh)

Anybody here into serious fishing. I'm going to sell off some of mine.
I used to collect it. Most never used. Just my half doz fave's.

Rods. reels. and Braid.(Fairly expensive, NOT cheap stuff)
I'm looking around 50\60% of current Market prices.

Daiwa. AVET. Accurate. Penn. ABU, reels (NO Shimano rubbish)
Hundreds of lures. (virgins). Custom rods.
From Barra. to 50lb 2 pce Game.

what don't sell. I'll give to kids rather than sell for peanuts.

I'll be back to Rockhampton around the 25th October so I might contact you and meander over to Yeppoon as I do like to play the resort golf course there, unless I stay at Rolligstone instead, I'll be in touch.

95% of my reels are Shimano so I must be using the wrong gear and need to upgrade.

Wow what a thread hi-jack. No wonder there are so few contributors here! Lets go back and start again.

Yes apparently that's right, the yeast in the bread does them no good at all, I get into trouble all the time feeding birds the wrong stuff.

I had a baby magpie that I had to feed lean beef mince mixed with millet to. But yes there are different formula's for our wildlife.

I buy wild bird seed for all the birds and give the animals carrots and greens. What ever I have on hand when a cow, horse or wallaby come visiting.

No Prob's Wizard.
it's only a stir like Toyota and Holden.

They mostly good nowadays. Specially the top line ones of any breed.
Mine are 90% Overheads.

Ian.
Show me a group of people anywhere. that sit around for a chat
and Any subject stays on track full time.
They all wander.
As long as they answered there's no harm done.
Apart from those that still live mentally, in a controlled office environment.

Me. I was brought up on Construction. we talked about everything.
ALL the time.
was much more interesting.

Don't feed any wild animals or birds anything.

They don't need it - they existed perfectly well before you came along.

Anything you feed them is a negative for them; either biologically or psychologically.

It may be fun and cute to you but after you have gone or tired of their cuteness they will still be conditioned to your foolishness and will go hungry.

Leave them alone and just enjoy watching them.

My big answer is NO. They are wild animals

Start feeding them, they start scavenging, then we have to clean up the mess around the already full rubbish bins

Also, they'd are wild animals and should be respected as such.
