Port Parham - abut 50k from Adelaide - off the Old Port Wakefield Road (Princes Hway) - turn near Dublin down Port Parham Road, about 15-20k follow road to The Esplanade - turn right, the camp is at the end of the asphalt. Plenty of room, pretty well level spots. Water taps (good water) at a few spots (some hidden behind bushes) - flushing, clean toilets. BBQ shelter with tables lit up at night. No fires to be lit. Plenty of rubbish bins, and can collection points.
This is where they rake crabs - with a metal rake, apparently you wander out and "rake" - turn the rake upside down tip crab into bucket - haven't seen it done yet - may be wrong season. The beach is deep with lots of dried sea grass, and the tide goes a very long way out.
There is some controversy at the moment in that the council want to impose limits (and maybe charge?), but the locals are against short time limits, 14 days is their choice, they have a sports and social club which has meals a few nights a week, and $10 fish and chips on Sundays.
Very nice spot to spend a few days.

Hi Jules
You are right about how raking crabs works but I feel i must add, you will need waders as the water is cold, a good waterproof light (night time is better for raking), We have a tub with wheels, the weight of the wheels keeps the tub up the right way they are made of float buoys and a PVC axle. There should be some locals that can point you in the right direction, good luck
