We drove from Charters Towers to Lynd Junction a few weeks ago and apart from the odd emu, Australian bustard, (that is the correct spelling) and about an hour of really thick fog, it was a good drive and shouldn't create any problems. Drive to the conditions and enjoy Charters Towers. Packed with history.
