Which I rebuilt around 7 years ago, It's called a Thomson -T- Line Gleneagle, and believed to be the only one of it's make here in Aussie, being built in Scotland in 1970 and came to Aussie sometime in the early 80's

Good pics KJ. I hope you find it. The twins said to tell you thay also will keep their eyes peeled, just cos it's you mate. My head brave has also put the pics up on the wall of their teepee for all to see.

It would be very interesting to know where the stickers show it had been. From the looks of them it was the UK.
Unfortunately, Just about all those stickers are Australian, except for the Scottish Flag. many were bought ourselves while doing the trip around the block, other older ones were put up by the previous owners, who I believe took the van around the block twice before we did the same.
I took many hours to remove every one before I sold the van, the "Dear One" now has them all stuck in a book, somewhere in the house.
To answer your question Rocklizard, Orange was the "in color" back in the 70's, goes rather well with the varnished walls, gives you a warm feeling, don't ya think ??? LOL
So glad that you have spoken to the twins on my behalf Dougwe, if it's all they can do, is keep their eyes peeled, I can't ask for much more, seeing it is Winter. LOL
I wonder if I should offer a reward, to the person who finds this Van ?????

Love it, how big is it? So well appointed for a vintage van. Love the layout and an ensuite that's magic. Have you put a post up on the vintage caravan forums? Someone there may be able to help you locate it.

G'day ruby6689, The length of the Thomson was 17' 2" with head room of over 7ft
Actually the van is a classed as a Classic Caravan, being one year to new to be called a Vintage ,
Yes ,I'm a Member of both Forums, Classic and Vintage, and have notified them all, including The Caravan Forum, plus posted pictures on Gumtree and Facebook, but still no luck anywhere.
If you look at the first picture of the ensuite, that is how it was after I restored it, the last picture shows a green loo, that was what it looked like when I first got the van.

As it was when first found, I had already cleaned the front ,check the roof !!!
This Caravan was manufactured in 1970 it came with independent coil suspension plus shockies, it also had brakes that would automatically come on if it rolled backwards,
I had that very same carpet in my house only it was a very bright grass green.
Hi msg, I presume you mean the Orange Vinyl on the floor,
Not bad stuff that for original, hardly any wear after all these years , mind you it took a lot of bringing back using a floor scrubber for many hours, as the first picture following shows,
but well worth the effort in the end.
Here are two comparisons, the first shot is of the ceiling with all the stickers attached, and the second after removal, what a time consuming, finger wearing job that was !!
kiwijims , great pictures of the Van, and I hope your able to find it. I was also surprised to see the Hoover Scrubber Polisher in action in your pictures lol. I have two of them exactly the same, one tan colour and a blue one that I got in 1969 and both still going strong. Haven't seen one in years anywhere since, so seeing that one in your post was a surprise. Someone borrowed one of my scrubber polishers some time ago and returned it without one of the lambswool clip on buffers, such a pity because both machines I've looked after really well...Kisha.

Hi Kisha, We also have two of these machines, the blue one in the picture is still going strong, but like you I can't get the scrubber brushes for the second one, apparently they made two different sizes of the pins that hold the brushes in place and the size we require can't be located at present,
Surprisingly, they do still turn up at the Sunday Markets on very rare occasions, so I'm keeping my eyes open, I'll be down there tomorrow before first light, another trailer load of junk ( "Opps" quality items ) to flog off LOL

I hope they still have the Canningvale Markets as I haven't been there in a good while, if I find any buffers I will take the machine out my boot lol and hope the buffer fits, CV markets use to generate a lot of sellers and crowds, so I may be lucky in my hunt for buffers lol. I haven't been to C/Vale Markets in a long time, very disappointing the last visit, too many sellers who only sell new chinese junk and very few second hand sellers.
We go to Maddington Markets regularly, both to buy and sell, made a couple of hundred Bucks last weekend but. darn near froze at 4.30am, the temp was only 4.7C, think I'll leave selling for a few months now,
One thing I've found at Maddington, there is a very big range of second hand goods and if there is something in particular that you want, it usually appears there within a few weeks, a good way to spend a Sunday Morning.

Kiwijims, I didn't think that Maddington had the markets anymore so thanks for that info. I guess that there wouldn't be to many sellers when the rain is forecast, so next rain free forecast I will get down there and enjoy looking around, I love looking around at all the old stuff, sometimes I stop at Todds on Hawtin Road not sure if its classified as Forrestfield or Maidavale, they to have some awesome stuff that I have had the pleasure to purchase at times. Yes, they were snuggly as you put it , but not so for the dear one, I woke one morning to find her down on all fours, looking at me with a stupid look on her face and asking me...... "what am I doing here" !! LOL
The width of the beds was only 2' 3" and the width of the mattress being 2' 6" , that was just enough to chuck her onto the floor when she turned over. you might say " not happy Jean "
