Newbies heading east and back

OK, we've moved our little tale from general section to here. I intend to try to keep writings down a bit and rely on the pics to tell their tale. We moved out of Eucla and on to Border Village where we just had to stop for a couple of pics because Nik had never been out of WA in her life, and my crossing of the Nullarbor by road had been in 1956 at age 7! The only other time for me.. via Trans Oz Railway in 1961. So this was a special occasion.

Crossed into SA, we pulled in at one of the numbers of lookouts off the highway to check out the sensational Bunda Cliffs, shortly after Border Village.

Spectacular view from the lookout, out towards the Head of the Bight.

Well done JocknNik, you will find it easier to keep track of your travel entries in here and I tell you that for free.

Next, to learn how to reduce the file size of the pics biggrin

Now, in regards to that pic "looking out towards the head of the Bight" I had to look at the bottom of that pic twice as I thought I saw PhilC's van down in the water, it has slowly been slipping to the edge of the cliff and I thought it had gone 'SPLAT' over night.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Thanks kindly folks. Special thanks to you Lorraine for offering to help me out of the mire. Still fine tuning my posts but hopefully on the right track now.

Heaven forbid about Phil's van Doug! Could kill a fish doing that. One less for me to catch...wink

I have no trouble reducing pic size with my photo program. Just a matter of working out how far to reduce, to get pic size to how I would prefer in my posts here. The original images were between about 18 m/pixels and 22 meg. (DSLR) They are actually second edit and around 200 kpxl but still must be too large to get below full width on screen. I'll have a go at about 100 kpx next time. First edit should still give a reasonable quality image. I'll keep fiddling and see what happens.smile
