soon on the road

well it has been a while since i posted on this forum hopefully we will be on the road in a couple weeks finally , and have been perusing this site on all subjects and the different views that people have , it has been good , we will be travelling with a camper trailer for longer stays at our prefered places and a gazebo and tent for shorter stays . would love to have an up market camper , caravan but at this point in time restricted to what we have , but we are going to get out and see part of this wonderful country while we stiil can , will be heading to the likes of roma barcaldine longreach finaly up to cooktown and then back down the coast looking at about the 3 month trip looking to stay at some of the smaller places getting to know the people that reside and work in these out of the way places and how they live there lives and survive , hopefully putting money into the small communities , as well as those that have been hit by the cyclone .

hopefully helping out in a small way . finding places that are cost effective and interesting to us has been a bit of a challange but has been an eye opener in more ways than one on just what is out there , also what some of the parks want for staying , cost wise that is , have joined a couple of the other sites related to travelling this great land ie pub camping and the free camp site forum , we are looking to catch up with fellow travellers and make some new friends and aquaintenances .

so to all out there hope all is well and hopefully our paths will cross in the future where ever that may be

With regards from Steve & Stella  [ alias widgeewoodduck ]

Just being out there experiencing things is the only way . Being open and reasonably friendly in time you'll get there . Seems a big step from what you've ( we have) been doing . Enjoy the ride . Ignore the narks and negative people .

yes well nothing negative at all and most people are pretty good to get along with as we did a bit of a shake down last year through parts of nsw coffs etc went reasonably well really but this one will be a three month sojourn as against 5 weeks . we are all different ,we all have our likes and dislikes , that is what makes us humans , and we have great respect for that , have made quite a few improvements and are basically self sufficient as one can be , solar in both the colorado and the camper all has been operating to expectation for the last month , have a couple of things to attend too and then out of here from the gympie area , so hoping the sun is shing for one and all and will keep in touch regards us
