Broken Hill to Menindee to Ivanhoe

We are thinking of travelling from Broken Hill to Menindee then on to Ivanhoe then Cobar and would like to know if anyone has been on these roads recently and could tell me their condition.

G'day CC

Funnily enough we were due to run the opposite way only a 10-days or so ago - and had to detour because of the rain / wet roads
However, the road from Wilcannia to Bourke - ie: much the same as Menindee to Ivanhoe - is fine & dandy, so I would presume that your roads should be okay now as it has been sunny for a good 5 days or more.

Hope this helps
Phil

The road from Memindee to Ivanhoe is well constructed gravel and well maintained, the Ivanhoe end is clay surfaced and also kept in good condition. It's a while since I have travelled it but i would not hesitate to use it providing I get a good report from the Memindee info centre. Give them a bell. However I would not use the direct road from Ivanhoe to Cobar, I would go via Hillston, the Mossgiel to Hillston is a much better road.
