Are you asking about Greens Lake in Northern VIC?

There is always spots to get even when wet then move when you can. Looking at weather map for that area it is VERY windy there today.

There wont be many there but starting Wed locals will start setting up then go to work as Easter is next week and is ALWAYS crowded.

There have been heavy showers and storms Sat night and showers during Sun in the area. May be a bit damp.

Outlook is for fine weather from Mon onwards.

Try Aysons reserve not too far away . There you can find a dry spot somewhere. It also has a dump point and toilets. Look it up on wicki.

The region south of Echuca was hit by some fairly severe weather this afternoon. Greens Lake should still be OK though as long as you stay in the central camping area.

Stayed at Greens for 5 nights over the popular Cup Weekend last year, the toilets were pretty ordinary & never cleaned. The upcoming Easter period could be worse. We used our Thetford Porta-loo it was much more hygenic & no grafitti!

Desert Dweller, when we have been there in the past, have bought a short length of hose and cheep T brush, found a broom with broken handle in skip. Some of us took turns at toilet duty every day. It is the locals that make the mess, and the Council workers really appreciated what us Nomads were doing. I even took a shovel to a big pothole at the cattle grid on the way in.

Perhaps you could have done the same as seeing the camping is free.!!!!!!!!

G'day Mr K.

I too, on many occassions have cleaned the toilets at Greens Lake, even though I don't actually use them as I prefer my own. I also pick up any rubbish as I move around and put in the bin/s provided. It's just a small thing to do in appreciation for being able to stay at such a great place.

Goulbourn Murray Water who are in charge of the area are fully aware of how the Grey Nomads, not just members here but many others look after the place and it is 'some' of the locals that don't give a toss. Those people just don't realise what a great place it is and a great service provided. They will be the first people to complain if it ever closes to camping or a charge made.

OH! This thread should really be in the 'Greens Lake' section of this great forum, that's what Cindy set it up for. No drama, just say'n :)
