Leaking annex

How is the annex attached to van? Is it an annex attached to sail track or an awning attached by screws on the Pop-top roof?

I have a Fiama awning that did that. Simply fixed by putting a flexible strip that attaches to van on top.

Check where the water is coming in

a) run a strio of silicon along the top of the sail track if the water is coming in between the sailtrack and the van wall

b) you can get some sealer if it is leaking thru the stitching of the edge awning.

I used to have that problem with water seeping thru the stitching. Amazing the amount that comes n.

I fixed it by rubbing bees wax over the stitching both inside & out, but it does attract dust over time if you over do it.

It actually worked when I applied it during heavy rain. Of course it was worst in front of the entry door!

I think that you can get a commercial product to do the job.

Someone suggested that it was caused by the wrong needle being used in the stitching. Should be the right sized blunt point needle.

If it the attachment point at sail track. and just worn.

Take rollout out of it's track.

Down to Sailmaker.Upholsterer. and get him to sew another bolt rope into it.

Will lose you around 4 inches of "out" on your sail track.
If that a problem. Get him to make up a bolt rope in material, complete.

They cut off worn material from roll out and sew that piece onto end of the thing.

If only part worn. You can buy "self adhesive" materials to suit.
Cut to length. and apply

Preferably with roll out out of it's track.(quite easy to do with two and a coupla steps if a tall van")
so you can apply "weight\s?, to that area.
If you "stitch a patch). as said. Beeswax or clear silicon is best afterwards.

I had a "tree scrub" of around 15in at rear end of this one when bought it (pre us)

I just got some liquid "rubber ducky" adhesive I had from the old days
and brushed it on. Done. Set clear, smooth and super flexible.

Too exxy to BUY for that job though. I just had.
