Toowoomba to Goondiwindi

Hello everyone. We have travelled from Ipswich, ld, to and from Goondiwindi a number of times via Warwick, Inglewood etc. Thought we may try via Toowoomba and Millmerran. A tad further, but just for something different.  Toowoomba Range is not as steep or as long at Cunningham Gap, which is another consideration. Thoughts invited. Thank you.

Gday...

Travelled Toowoomba>Goondiwindi about five weeks ago.

I would suggest that Toowoomba>Millmerran then turn south to Inglewood and onto Goondiwindi.

The Gore Hwy between Millmerran and Goondiwindi was badly affected by the floods last year ... and whilst there has been plenty of attention given by the council/s it still has some rough-ish bits - a bit roller-coaster in places and truck-affected.

I imagine there may have been continued work by the council/s on that section ... so the final decision is all yours.

The road from Millmerran to Inglewood is 'smooth as' with some gentle ups and downs ... and quite pleasant scenery.

cheers - John

Thank you John. I like going different routes but am always wary of the type of road one may encounter. I don't know if there is a specific site or way to get accurate info other than this forum. Thanks again.
