Cost of living

Looked through the current BCF brochure and they had a page for Waeco fridges. The CFX50 is now $1449.00  The cost of these fridges has gone through the roof -  or have I been in a timewarp? Maybe I have, as they now come with a USB, right next to the wifi to remotely adjust the temperature. I used to just worry about if I could afford some steak to put in one, lol.

Cheers, John

John.

If you go to Waeco pages.
and look in refurbished/damaged etc.
Separate section completely.

They normally have some Damaged boxes. scratched etc at a few hundred off.
Factory wty etc.

I had CF 50 when they first came out. Changed up to an 80 dual Fr\Freez.and chiller.

Donkeys yrs old now and still sipping electricity.
Pre Digital and built in 240v.

Apart from the commercial ones at twice the price.
Waeco ARE the best in our price range.

In Both efficiency and economy in 12\24v\240v.
You have to go $2500 up to get better, Maybe.

Bought my 50 litre about 8 years ago was nearly $1200 then but got it on special for under $900 with a free cover and barbecue set and sunshield for the tug. Set up full time in the Territory now with battery charged by solar. Never had problems so happy here.

Have a look here:

https://www.techniice.com/car-fridges.html

I have owned the 60lt dual zone for 18 months and am very pleased with it.

Incidentally: I think they have got the prices around the wrong way on the above page and the 60lt dual zone should be $1299 whilst the 80lt dual zone should be $1399.

Last year I bought a Komodo 40 litre from Kogan, for $439.00 and they are still under $500 today. Only used it once in an emergency as a freezer set at minus 8 degrees for about 10 days and no probs.
Good luck.
