What do they look like?......do they have a Windsor knot?......my 'Gabby Hayes' detecting mates would dis-own me if I turned up in Camp wearing any sort of 'Joe Cool' necktie....probably give me one of their own hanging from the nearest old box tree.....Hoo Roo

I have been using one for about two years now and have found it quite effective I picked mine up at a local Rotary market for $20.
ALL THE ONES i have seen are a light blue colour and about the size of a car chamois.

Yep, they work. How well you think you work is dependent on your expectations. But they can give you some moments of relief.

IMG_5434.JPGJust took this selfie of my necktie.  I bought mine from a Malouf Chemist last year and it was less than $20.  I'm thinking $14.  They came in lots of different colours.  The little beads that you soak in water is in the back part and I just tied mine in a knot.  Once fully soaked and expanded it takes a week for the beads to go down to rice grain size again.  It doesn't have to stay wet. I find that when it is fully expanded that it is a little heavy but I usually don't let mine soak to full size.  I'm a School Crossing supervisor in Qld and I've been wearing mine to work.  The Dept of Transport whom we crossing supervisors work for, have issued us with blue ones of a different brand 2 weeks ago as part of our uniforms, to beat the heat.  I wear mine, a lot, besides to work and I believe they work.  Hope this information helps.  Cheers, Gaylene.

I have one also. It was given to me as part of my PPE when I worked on the grain harvest in WA. Does it work, certainly does. I keep it in the fridge with a little water so it is ready for when I need it.

Sometimes I wear it as a headband. Often wish I had another. I will check out the chemist

Hand wash weekly a least in small amount of woolwash - they do get a bit of a musty smell about them.

They are Great.I have worn one on the golf course for the last 15 years. In real hot weather you can put them in the freezer before use and they work for a longer period.

WOW - looked at that ebay sight. Didn't realize there was such a vast array of products. I soaked mine last night, so 24 hours ago and I think it is still cool and it hasn't gone down much. I just squeeze and re position the beads (when it's up it feels more like a gel than beads). I have no idea what brand mine is as there's no label on it (cut it off when I got it). I am very happy with mine.

@ Gaylehere

They would be much better by now than 20+ years ago I think ours had only foam inside
We've got them from the States that time

Cheers John
