Wynyard (Tasmania) council has given permission to lease off a free camping in Boat Harbour to a developer to put in cabins. This is crown land but council concerns were the volume of grey water dumped on the ground. posed a health risk. Also part of the deal is the developer close off the day use area where campers also park and dump grey water.

Have just been there  and it is obvious what is day use and campers are preventing anyone being able to have a picnic, not that it is very nice with the remnants of grey water all over the ground.

Please stop and think before you camp in a nice day use area and more so don't dump grey water on the ground, put it in a dump point.
