Hi John.

You need to put all of the spots identified on your "Bucket List"

I moved from Melbourne to Port Hedland, WA in 1982, (Never going back) and over the years have been to all the spots highlighted, however there are lots more beautiful spots on the trip to all the mentioned locations on the link.

Hope you enjoy WA when you get here, but you need to include the South West as well. Equally stunning.

Enjoy your journey; and if you need aa tour guide please give me a call.

Regards.

Hetho.

Western Australia is beautiful state - even their mining is spectacular - love to see those big machines at work. The colours are spectaculsr, cant wait to get back!

John - I have been to a few of these fantastic places - Purnululu is amazing, those beehives are wonderous - as are the walks, and the amphitheatre!  Windjana Gorge is one of the best gorges I have been to (been to a few), and the road in is an experience, had a cow land on the bonnet, as we were going round a corner, he jumped straight back on to the roadside bank.  Tunnel Creek - Cable Beach - you gotta go John!

Gday...

cry my problem as well. My van is an 'black top traveller' and restricts me.

Figuring out where to leave the van while taking the tent and doing some of those Kimberley 'top spots' is the problem. Not insurmountable.

Unfortunately, I know I would LURVE the Kimberley but all the wall-to-wall old pharts between May and September clogging up the Gibb River Road is my main 'mental problem'.

I guess I will do the area over a couple of years - but on the "cusp of the wet" - rather then in the 'season'.

cheers - John
