Went there two years ago. Love it. Spent six days there. Two days at Pennesaw, where you get off the ferry. Very basic, but OK. Two days at Kingscote, once again basic but OK.

Two days in the Western KI park. Beautiful, but be warned. The tap water is not for drinking, it comes from a dam. Stock up on bottle water. Or you can buy from the small store.

KI is great. Lots to see and do. Enjoy.

We spent 4 nights at Kingscote CP which is reasonable but basic. When leaving we pulled into Brown's Beach camp ground at about 3pm. Plenty of room till 4pm when some big vans began arriving. Very very basic with $2 hot showers, pit toilet, yet had dolphins swim past and a ray was breaking the surface.

Emu Bay beach is a hoot with hundreds of cars parked on it.

The Bird exhibition is a must where you get to support Jack a young wedgie plus lots of other birds.

Admiral's Arch etc is worth it and the lighthouse at cape Willoughby was also great.

If you have time when leaving search out "Hell's Gate" a sinkhole hidden amongst bush and Mt Schank (volcanic crater)(1000 steps up). Lot's of other volcanic points of interest as well.
