New good value 9kg gas bottles

Afternoon  all fellow nomads

Just a quick heads up.  Stratco in SA have a special on new 9kg cylinders. $40. And full of gas.   Seems very good value to me.  Cheers all.   Daz

Dazz, All, some years ago, purchased an outdoor Gas heater from Bunnings ( the one with the big cap) also needed a full Gas bottle and mentioned a similar deal offered by Stratco at the Time, Bunnings did their match less 10% on the Gas Bottle etc, But could be because I was buying the $150 heater.

Regardless the Stratco deal is good value.

Hi Peter.

Bunnings have replacement 9 Kg bottles for $19.00.

I know you will never own it but they are all within the 10 year expire date.

Regards.

Hetho.

You do own the Bunnings bottles which are supplied by Elgas as you bring your old bottle for exchange - from the Elgas site:

"The 4kg or 9kg LPG gas bottle is yours to keep"

Regards

I'll never do swap & go again, had a bottle only 2 years old did the swap thing and got a bottle tht was nearly out of date, I should have checked it but didn't and when it ran out had to buy a new bottle.  Now I only refill, stuff the swap & go.

You should have Swapped it again.  Dates don't matter when you swap.

In Carnarvon, the Caltex / Woolies do 9 Kg exchange for $23 and don't check the bottle dates. Over the last 15 months, I have replaced 4 out of dates with 4 in dates, Yee Haa.

I had the exactly the same thing happen to me, but I told the shop that I had bought it from them, no more trouble they just swapped it

At a hardware store last week I was offered a swapdeal $23 for 9kg. Considering the location a good deal. Was about to pick up the bottle and as it looked a bit rough checked the test date. Was 10/92 & no other date. Needless I went for a drive to next town.
