Ha Ha without saying ur age

I reckon from the list of what you all put down your all a bunch of old farts LOL

If any of you are either in Geelong or daylesford or Ballarat ( most of you would have been to one or the other )

Take the time to visit the Mill Markets , I have only been to Geelong and cant speak for the others but my wife and I spent two hrs browsing thru all the old knick knacks

Reminiscing our childhoods like little kids ( it was look at this I had one of these or mum had this or grandma had one of these ) non stop for two hrs.

Happy reminiscing if you get the time to drop in .

Thanks mezza we love going through those type of places and will definitely check one of them out the next time that we are in that area. There is one that sounds similar in Gulgong called the Pioneers Museum you can spend hours browsing through all types of Australiana dating from the gold rush period right up until the not too distant past.

Hiding your age is for some very age sensitive women? We're both 66yrs young. We enjoy looking at historic/olden day stuff on our travels.

Went to Mill Markets last time I was in Geelong. I was with my son and we were both gobsmacked at the memories.
My most memorable was the old fence strainers. Even my 47 yr old son was taken with them.
I wanted to buy them but he talked me out of it as something extra to carry on the road.
Both times there we had the baked potato with salad meal. So delicious, would go back again just for lunch

I've wondered how old you have to be to be on here actually lol. I'm not that grey at all....have a few these days.
When I first started looking on here I'd retired so that was my reasoning. I was 45 then (51 now). Is there actually an age limit to this website? It started with me just getting newsletters actually. Only a few months ago I actually joined here.
I do find it disturbing to see stuff in museums that were normal life lol. It's a great laugh though, at the same time.
Some stuff is ironic. Such as when I see phones from the days. My brother was involved in one of the major fires of recent years and all Comms were down......but he had an old bakerlite phone that dad had kept - he plugged it in....and he was the only person talking to anyone lol. Mobiles etc were no go. Lol.

While reporting an incident to young probie constable last Monday he asked for my date of birth; When I told him he said "you can't be that old - you'd be dead". that really made my day. The Child Bride thought it funny.
