Although not new to this forum, we have not placed our van on 'Shows us yours..'
Our van is a 2001 Roma 20' Elegance. We have made some modifications to it including installing a diesel heater, two Sorocco fans, two 12 volt outlets, two 110ah agm batteries, 160 w solar panel, second spare, new annex with two pole carriers (one for the fishing rods). We have had the van oversprung and a new compliance plate fitted.
In December 2016 I waterproofed the floor underneath and treated the external roof with Thermoshield. We also had the internal upholstery overhauled and the internal flooring replaced with timber planks.
The van's TARE is now 2000 kg with an ATM of 2500 kg. The ball weight comes in at 180 kg. Our tug is a 2011 Pajero diesel with modified suspension and full electrics. We have traveled around Australia, far north Queensland and inland New South Wales with this rig. It is our home for 6-7 months of the year

If the "timber flooring" gets to feel hard under feet.
I'm installing 6mm Cork flooring over the lino in mine.
Lovely and soft.
Plus should be good insulation from both heat and cold hey.
That solarshield does a great job on roof too, Plus sealing from leaks.
I took mine right down to first seam front and back for sun\heat reflection.
Plus. with older vans.
Check and reseam round the inside of wheel arches.
they tend to crack and open a bit on seams.(some of)
When we upgraded the internal flooring, we actually used timber style vinyl planks rather than 'timber'. We take your point about cork, it would be softer underfoot. To waterproof the underfloor and wheel arches we used 'Betta' Bitumen Rubber. Very messy but the results are great. We first noticed surface cracking in the marine ply. Bitumen rubber not only sealed the cracks but also prevented further cracking.

Thanks one and all for the positive comments. We have over the years thought of trading up but have worked out it would cost us a lot more to get the same equipment that we have in our 2001 Roma.
We are getting ready to leave in Autumn traveling wherever the wind blows - mainly free camping as we meet the most incredible people from all walks of life.
