CAUTION FOR DOG OWNERS: Please don't walk your dog along the pavement on hot days like today! They can end up with nasty burns on the pads of their feet, like the example pictured. If the pavement is too hot for your palm, it's too hot for their feet!

I put old handtowels down on the hot steps so Daisy can get in and out without burning her feet.
Yesterday was 41 deg. I couldn't even stand on the burning step.
