SA weather: Adelaide set for scorching 40C day, authorities to warn tourists..........
The temperature in Adelaide will climb to 41C on Saturday with overnight minimums expected to remain in the high 20s.
South Australia is expected to experience a low-intensity to severe heatwave throughout the state from today through to Sunday when the temperature is forecast to drop to 30C.

Yep it's warm, but no big deal, so far this summer we've only had about 5 days over 35°C, hot today and tomorrow 6th and 7th Jan, then back to around 30°C for the next week, pretty easy to handle.
We're experiencing what's known as summer, what's not to love about it? Tennis, cricket, beach, outdoor living, BBQ's and cold beer, my favorite season.
I lived and worked on outback stations and remember one day being 54, but was much younger then and don't think you notice it as much. There was no 'knocking off' if it got over 36 either, no air-conditioning and no fridges out in the scrub.

10/ Sun Burn
That's only a few, I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons why Spring or Autumn are far better times of the year.

I agree Mutley. (Adelaide 1970 - 85) Every year had numerous days over 40. One time power went out so no air con. Took our wine and some candles out to the pool. The candles were the tall skinny ones. They weren't much good because they melted in the heat. Just bent over in a u-shape. What about the hot northerlys? All the dust and bushfires.
We have started our 2017 Journey that includes the Tour Down Under in Adelaide for those that appreciate road cycling and visiting the Adelaide surrounds that take in this event particularly at this time of the year.
At same time we do a little house sitting and currently parked up at Old Reynella.We have traveled from around Central West of NSW with temps of 36/37/38 then across the Hay Plain etc. The van is parked on a slab out the front with the Cruiser and we are inside with 2 dogs and the air con on. Walk dogs early morning and after the sun has gone down. Will be on the pushy early next week in high 20's to low 30's.
We have no complaints and like the LOCALS expect these temps at this time of the year.
