Two tropical cyclones possible in waters off WA coast over next two days: BOM
There is a high likelihood of a tropical cyclone forming off Western Australia's north-west coast on Tuesday or Wednesday, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has warned.
It is the second warning for a possible tropical cyclone in waters off WA between now and Wednesday.
The higher alert relates to a tropical low lying 550 kilometres north-north-west of Karratha, in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
"This low has rapidly intensified over the past 24 hours and is likely to develop further over the coming days," the bureau said.
