There is a 20-50 per cent chance a cyclone will form off the Northern Territory on Tuesday or Wednesday, and if it does it will likely head towards the Kimberley Coast, weather forecasters say.

"That monsoon trough is sitting pretty close to our north coast at the moment," Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Billy Lynch said.

"We do expect a low pressure to form within that trough, probably later today."

Here we go Folks, Hopefully it won't be another Xmas like Darwin had back in 74.!!!
