I had never heard of them, albro so asked my head Brave, nope, not him as well so asked my good friend Mr Google. They look good and so easy to use but wonder how they would go long term if staying put in one spot for a month or more??

Looks fancy. Doubt if I would want or use it.

I Prefer my levelling chocks . I thought I would have to 'muck around' a lot to get level,

but got used to it very quickly . BUT . I Still prefer to jack the side up that needs levelling ,

than to drive or back up . Oh , and about 7/8 times cheaper.

We Have a Kojack with our new van.

Place under the jack point, level the van, lock down corner jacks. 5 minutes max. Easier than drive on levellers.

I looked at the Kojack some time ago but thought that the cost didn't really justify buying one. Instead I bought a pair of ramp levellers. But maybe now that I am getting a bit older anything to make things easier may be worth a second look.

Just a point - the Kojack frame goes under the wheel and not under a jacking point. Or is there another type of Kojack leveller around? (Google 'Kojack leveller' for a short video of the jack in use.)

There was another type of 'powered' leveller available but the name escapes me at the moment although I recollect that it had an European sounding name. I checked with Caravans Plus as they carried other caravaning items from that manufacturer but they didn't have that particular leveller. Anyhow, I thought that the other one would be better than the Kojack as it had plates on the bottom of the frame so that it could be used on soft ground, whereas the Kojack only had a pipe frame. As I remember the second leveller had a higher lift than the Kojack. It also cost more than the Kojack.

Sorry I am unable give more information about the second leveller but a little research should locate it.

Additional info:

Goggle 'Milenco Aluminium Leveller for Caravans and Motor Homes' and check out the video. Looks good but expensive. A feature is that it comes with a ratchet drive so you don't require a cordless drill. But as I said, it costs more than the Kojack, although if you do not already have a drill you can save the cost of buying one.

I wish people would give links to what they are referring to. The OP did not specify what he was looking at. Then Dougwe came up with his usual useless comment "Google it." Then Snippy replied with what looked to be this one. Then LWE commented on this one. Will the real Kojak (without the 'c') please stand up. Maybe the OP (original poster) please be more specific.

Just had a squizz of their hydraulic levelling system which consists of a 4000kg hyd jack and extension pieces to fit to it. looks okay but not sure value wise ???...

Sorry everyone - I should have given the references.

For the Kojack (with a 'C') frame this is the one I thought that Snippy was referring to. It lifts the wheel only.

The other Kojack that goes under the jacking point is essentially only a jack and not actually a levelling tool. Looks like it does all the things that a Trailer Mate does.

Caravans Plus sells some Milenco products but not the leveller; about a year ago I asked them if they could carry them in stock but at that time they seemed to be happy with just the Kojack.

Having put the references in I'll leave it to everyone else to decide what is best for them. If the Milenco ever becomes available locally at a reasonable price then I think I would go for that one.

Our Kojack came with the van. It is like a very large bottle jack with a fitting that connects to the vans jack point.

As in my previous post, jack the van until level, lower the van jacks....done.

If you mean the corner legs when you say lower the van jacks, these are only meant to be used as stabilisers, not to take the full weight of the van to level it.

Hi BillB,

Yes the jack supports the main weight and the van jacks act as stabilizers, so the weight is shared, although the Kojack supports the main weight.

This setup is in the Kojack manual and recommended by the van manufacturer.

I am not sure I like the fact that it only lifts from the outside edge of the tyre. If it lifted evenly across the tyre it would be better, IMHO.

Looks to me it would be putting a large sideways pressure on the wheel too.

I think I will stick (with a C) to my yellow ramps.

Gooday,

I bought one of these, all Aluminium, (not Plastic), brought it back from US, saves a a lot of mucking about, can also use it to raise one wheel off the ground completely on a Tandem Axle to change a wheel if needed

Coincidence, I was just looking at the Andersen version of this yesterday in Perth. It is plastic and a similar price.

Wouldn't mind one but do they work on roller rocker tandems? The Anderson ones don't according to Andersons own their website.

They will work as a levelling device but you may not be able to get enough lift to lift one tyre off the deck for wheel changing.
