The luck of the draw

For two nights we stayed at the Loch (Vic)recreaction reserve for $15 a night. Fabulous, all alone, quiet, peaceful etc. Tonight (Sat) one night in Cowes caravan park. $43 a night. One side of us like rock music but at least that stopped at 9:30pm. The other side of us 5 young adults in one tent laughing and giggling. Its now midnight and I'm still waiting for them to quieten down. I don't like complaining and waking up the park owners. I'll put this down to experience and install that extra solar panel so I don't need to top up my battery via a charger....then the inconsiderate can camp among themselves. Am I unreasonable? I know I'm sensitive to noises. Ha! My wife has handed me some earplugs..sweet dreams.

Surely you didn't expect peace & quiet on Phillip Island on a warm December weekend? Loch is a nice peaceful relaxing spot isn't it?

yeh, Loch is great. Just pay at the local servo and park where ever you like.

I think midnight should be a cut off time for everyone regarding noise. It just convinced me to park in quiet low cost spots.

Have stayed at van parks for many many years and everyone seems to be tucked up and asleep by 9pm.
Cheers

Eaglemax - you should have woken the management - you are paying good money, they usually have a set of rules re noise after 10pm or whatever - they are bound to act on noisy campers - we did this one night when some people were not only talking loudly around a fire, laughing with loud music playing (they had to talk loud to be heard over the music!) - they were THROWING their cans and bottles into a metal rubbish bin!!!!!!!!! Was a great game - for them! (This was at 12.30AM)

Manager came and told them to quieten down or they would be evicted - they swore, carried on a bit - but went back to their cabin - should have seen the mess around the fire next morning!

This time of the year at Phillip Island you will get some residuals from Schoolies Week. Would probably have been worse the week before!
