I am traveling by myself through Victoria at the present Moment and was wondering if there is any sites like yours where you can meet up with other people
First time traveling by myself and would be lovely to catch up with other people traveling by themselves...all information greatly excepted...Karen
Hi Karen, I mostly travel by myself, I tend to like it that way. I can do what I want when I want. I meet people on the road, a smile , "g'day", or "nice day" will often start a conversation. Some people like to chat, some don't. I don't worry if people don't want to know me, that's life. Have fun & enjoy this great country. Cheers Pete
Head to Greens Lake - Corop Vic., on the Midland Highway between Bendigo and Shepparton (50k) west Shepp. At the moment there are a few GN members - some solo - there, camped to the right of the boat ramp, as you drive in - would be Dougwe and Glenelg (Dave) - maybe Happy Wanderer (Marj) and who knows who else. Free camp, flushing loos and a dump point. The road in is 1k asphalt and 1k gravel. Should be a great weekend there with this weather.

There are 5 different GN members here at Greens as I write this and will be for at least another few days. It's not up to me to say who as they might not want it advertised on an open forum, I will leave it up to them to say, if they read this thread.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

We used to have several get togethers annually with members of the other van forum.
Organised my members in basically their areas.
We went to a couple but they mostly below Brissie and in Vict.
Too far for a coupla days.
maybe some could be organised up here. We have enough members now.
Hi Kazza. Have you thought of joining one of the multitude of RV clubs that are in every State? There are some very organized ones with Boards and rules and 1000's of members like CMCA a,d others with just 10-20 members who catch up with each other on the road and organize a discounted group booking at various CP's. We don't belong to one, but have seen many in action and they seem to have a great time - we actually got invited to join a group when we were staying at a country shire owned CP once - had a great time - no rules, just laughter and talk and people came and went as they pleased on the weekend out.........oh - and the small ones are either free to belong or charge a nominal fee for someone to do all the donkey work on their internet and phone
