The truck is a 6.7lt turbo diesel the van is 26ft and weighs 4.5 ton,and on normal roads 21lt per 100klm,not towing 13lts per 100 klm.

That is pretty impressive economy for that size rig.

Hi Graeme alot of people dont believe these figures but if it did 30lts per 100 i would say that, these truck are running on 1600 revs at 90klm per hour they are just idling.
Next time you see a yank tank on the road ask the same question and im pretty sure you will get similiar figures.
Cheers

I also have an F Truck! Mine is a 2001 XLT 7.2 litre turbo diesel. I have a slide on camper on mine so no towing for me! ( I do tow a boat ) I do get 17 ltrs per 100 with my camper on board. Love my Effie!!

Great effort fuel wise with the Ftrucks, turning circle would take a bit of getting used too,
but I have owned n driven trucks and semi,s so you just have to allow for it.

I find my truck to be extremely easy to handle with a much smaller turning circle then I initially thought.
