I made use of Willow Park north of Rosedale Victoria recently. It is VIC site 51 in Camps 8.
There are now no toilets there ... or bins for rubbish ... AND now restricted to 36 hours stay only.
Used to be no restriction ... that became 72 hours ... and then 48 hours ... now 36 hours.
A local that breezed in suggested that council got sick of the high (ongoing) cost of cleaning and replenishing the chemical 'commercial' toilets that had been provided - like the one below.
Apparently, the Chamber of Commerce in town had become tired of the mess that campers were leaving the in the loos (and generally) which added to the cost of providing these 'temporary' facilities and the grounds upkeep.
Council will not consider installing a proper toilet block without financial input and care-taking input from the townsfolk.
It is still an acceptable overnighter - if you are 'self-contained'. I suggest this is what the site will degenerate to - with a resultant loss of custom to the local enterprises.
Cheers - John

Too many freeloaders & non donators have spoiled this lovely spot for everyone else. We have our doubts whether many of those that stayed there ever contributed anything to the local business economy, probably not many. A real pity.
