Off on a cruise to New Guinea & nearby islands on 22/1. My prize for enduring 20 chemo sessions. Then watch this space,. I think we are going to put the brakes on & stop somewhere permanently. We will have been "on the road" 23 years next Feb. So we did give it a good go. Cheers Alice

Gday...

confuse Agenda? confuse Plan? confuse 2017? confuse

Gawd - I make a point of not knowing where I am going or might be doing next week let alone next year.

I stopped planning, worrying, stressing, fretting eight years ago when I retired.

cheers - John

Of three major trips this year, they all covered the places we intended to visit (plus more) but definitely not as per plan A (location, number of days per place, or total trip days). Also stopped short in two cases and did a day trip to the furtherest destination (eg Day trip to Ceduna from Streaky bay). Other than being away over winter (effectively term 3), no idea where we are going.

2017 will see me head back to Sapphire to finish renovating Primrose my caravan.
After a rest up and make my fortune I hope to do the lap again
Time might only permit half a lap going down the middle from Threeways.
That should fill in the year nicely.

2017 - hate making plans BUT:

Mid Jan, finish house sit in Brisbane

February, Turtle hatching in Bargara

Then heading north towards Cairns, by mid June, flight from Cairns to Indonesia (Not Bali) for a wedding, return July, pick up van/car and continue up to the cape, return before the wet!

Mr D then wants to go to Darwin, I am undecided.....

No plans.....

we are currently visiting our son and family in Shepparton. There are about 200 plus vans at the showgrounds for a rally. We are heading to Bendigo Ballarat and Great Ocean Road then back along the Murray to Shepparton.

Plans - what plans. Last month we were supposed to have headed through NSW then over to Adelaide to catch up with hubby's family and then have a look around York Peninsula and return through NSW again to home BUT tyre and motor problems scuttled that idea. Probably a good thing with the weather the way it was over that way. So a few short "local" trips between now and Easter 2017 then south to Adelaide for before mentioned family catch up then up through the middle to Alice Springs and a visit to my brother and would like to go to Darwin as haven't been up that way since 1978 then quick trip down through Qld to home as want to be home for Dad's 90th birthday in August. If it works out like that, great, but if not, so be it.

I'll probably see in the new year somewhere in western NSW, heading south to Mildura and then into SA. General direction from there will be west with no doubt some detours to the north and south, and then across the Nullabor to WA. From there, who knows ... too far into the future to worry about.

Cheers, Joe

Went from WA to Tamworth and return to home base early in the year

All things being equal, hope to go to Darwin, and return to home base in our winter
Not made up my mind if I return home through WA, or travel to Adelaide, and then back to WA, as there is less than 1,000 K,s difference

After Christmas go to Adelaide for New Year, then hopefully Tamworth again

Unfortunately I am only a part time traveller, but do wish that I was on the road full time

Normally we'd be on the road by mid March, but all 3 of us have some medical issues to tend to. If all goes well we'll start to head north by mid may. The plan is/was to head up through Qld then back down through the centre & back home.  Nambucca is starting to get cold, so we really want to be heading north ASAP.

Just had a few days away. Toowoomba, Dalby, Westmar (good free camp with flushing toilets and hot shower), St. George - lovely and green out there at the moment, Nindigully Pub, down to Mungindi across to Talwood (all bitumen now, some quite new) to Goondiwindi, Texas, Inglewood, Millmerran, then home. Good trip. Have a drip under the van. Hopefully only radiator hose - anyway will get it seen to as we hope to do the trip I mentioned earlier starting in 5 weeks. A few health issues with Dad and son at the moment though.

Anyway, as so many have said they're going up/down the center over the next few months maybe we'll see each other. We have a Grey Nomads and a CMCA sticker on our back window.
Cheers Gaylene.
