Some if not most car wash places, will have an area where you do not have to go under the roof, to wash an RV
I am led to believe that some caravan parks, have an area set aside to wash an RV
I have been told by other travellers, that they wash their RV where they are parked, at a caravan park
I have never actually seen anyone wash their RV at a free camp
Edit to say that Bill B has advised that you can not wash a car, or caravan, in most of the caravan parks I can only repeat what other travellers had told me

They have a drive through truck wash, maybe they do caravans. They are at Warnervale, you can get weighed at the same time.
I have never seen a don't wash rigs sign at a caravan park - and I can tell you....particularly if it's a council park and their roadworks have dirtied my rig, I wash it all off!!! (Dependant on water source of course). Paying what a lot of these joints charge is purely a work exercise for me if I enter one.
Some towns have truck wash bays so you can go do the top of the van as well.

I suggest you have not been to too many van parks then
The greater majority of van parks either have signs prominently displayed, or advise when signing in, stating no washing of cars or vans.
There are some who will allow a van/vehicle wash on grass 'that needs the water' and some who set aside a space for washing vehicles ... not sure about vans though. Some may let the van be washed using a bucket only.
I travel full-time, pre-dominantly camp away from van parks, and my van only gets a proper wash perhaps once a year - the vehicle maybe twice a year.
I sometimes use a bucket to wash the front panel of the van because it suffers the most from road grime and insects - otherwise I wait till I get to a place that lets me wash it.
I clean the inside of the vehicle - very thoroughly (almost a detail-type clean) - probably every two or three weeks. The glass gets cleaned at least weekly - windscreen daily.
Despite being full-time in use and always exposed to the 'elements', I don't think the van needs to be cleaned that often. I do clean the inside of the van every week (at minimum) and do the windows and screens maybe each month or so.
I guess one way to look at it is ...... How often do you clean your house?????

59 odd Yrs ago. (whoops 50 odd) I used to hand paint (brush) my 22ft caravan every yr, But that was in UK. and travelling on the pipelines and Motorways on construction. It was mainly to reseal the seams every yr and keep the water out.
The "OFF Roading" we do nowadays had nothing on that. We often towed mine in (and out again)with a dozer or Loader.
last 30 yrs. I alternate between CT18 "Truck Wash. and CT20, Truckwash with polish. and a soft broom.
My Patrol got the same. and after 14 yrs, still sparkled after it's last clean and a tyre black before being sold on.
The exteriors are designed to last forever. Give them a chance.
Commercial. A lot of truck stops have washdowns round the back with the fuel pumps. separate to car pumps. They're the best chance nowadays.

Yes....true that...I prefer hanging onto my soul lol.
I ran one though.....and we let people - had a bit more access to water than some places though. We were going to put in a specific van wash set up too - might still be on the cards.
Anyways....like I said....if their roadworks mucks me up...I clean it. They can only kick me out lol and itd be timed as I was leaving anyways .
Agree about length of time between van washes. I'm on the road full time too and maybe 1-2 times a year it gets done.
Havent had many probs washing my car in Van Park but might be different story for Van ??, i normqall wait till i get home n get the high step ladder out along with a good dose of sugarsoap n come up a treat :), at least so far :)..
Many Service Stations offer a coin operated high pressure hose to wash cars etc as well as a vacuum hose. I've stayed in caravan parks that have a washing area particularly for boats and I've seen people wash their cars there.
