Would like to give a Very big Bouquet to the organisers and volunteers at the ACOF at Millmerran. Just home from a fantastic weekend at an extremely well planned and organised event. Attended by thousands of happy people and hundreds of equally happy campers. Never saw a policeman (or the need for one), did see an empty cop car though at the close of play.
I second what Mike has said. Enjoyed the entertainment, the food, watched some of the competition cooking, etc. Saw a few people we knew and caught up with Mike and Lorraine (Dunmowin). Was a pleasure to meet you both. Cheers Gaylene.
And now for the aftermath. About half of the caravans set off this morning, some from as early as 6.00 am (lucky them) It has rained all day, storm this afternoon, we now have about 10 inches of water through our annex. No one is going anywhere, unless you arrange for the tractor to pull you out. Tomorrow is another day.
Having said that, I also second (or is that third) Explorer's comments about the organisation of the event, the well set out camp sites, the cleanliness of the amenities, the well run agenda. We had a fun lead up to the weekend event. Great to meet you both Mike and Galyene

And what a lot of fun we had today getting off the site. All walls down, dried and folded, generator running to top up power, roof rolled, chairs dried, washing dried, towels dried, all the while sloshing around in galoshes.
Nissan hooked up, took off, easy as,..... whoops, don't stop there John. He did, an sunk! Tractor needed to pull us out.
