Wilpena Pound 2016

Gday all

We have recently returned from a 3 week jaunt to Wilpena Pound and surrounds.

Visited places like Glass Gorge, Parachilna, Leigh Creek and Lyndhurst. We actually did 200 meters on the Strzelecki Track.. lol

The gorges were in full flower and the creeks had a flow of water. This is a truly magnificent chunk of Australia and well worth the effort.

The fantastic Ford (NOT 4WD) traversed the very rough ground like a wild antelope.. Enough of the poetic stuff...

We then spent some time at Melrose and Crystal Brook.

Back home now and saving up for the big cruise in 2018. Home to Seattle then the inside passage to check out some Fjords and Glaciers. Then back to Seattle where I have a date with the Boeing factory.. Then home... 16 hours in zoo class.furious

Be good

Cheers Dougwe.

Cant wait for the Alaska/USA trip. We will be spending 2 days in Honolulu so it gives me plenty of time to visit Pearl Harbor and pay my respects.

In the meantime it thin pickings as we save up for near on 20 grands worth of travel..

Cheers mate, hope you and the twins are well.

Hi Phil, short and sweet. Three weeks in Flinders, I could do that 17 times a year, and not get sick of it.  Thanks for reminding me that I love it. We were there in June tis year, flowers blooming, grass everywhere. So pretty.
