Central West NSW camping areas

I may have posted my enquiry in the wrong area. I was after some information about camping at Wyangala or Burrendong Dams and sites around the Bathurst area.

Thank you Jules, 50 years ago I visited Carcoar, It is close to the district that my father came from. Have not been there with a caravan, so just needed some hints.

Safe travels everyone

Both Burrendong and Wyangla have powered and unpowered sites for camping. With Facilities available.

Both Dams at the moment are full so camping there would be ok however as always watch the weather forecast.

Carcoar Dam is unpowered and free with toilets and we personally love camping there.

Thankyou Onedodger, seems that not a lot of people visit these areas or have not had any experience camping at the locations I have mentioned. I have been watching the Weather closely and hoping that the rain will ease up. They have had more rain, than we have here in FNQ. The dam at Carcoar is almost on the same property where my father lived.

Enjoy your travels
