After the initial WTH?! of weird vision, I love these! Trial was driving from Caloundra to Roma last night. I had great visibility, and the blind spot mirrors are a god-send, especially in driving rain and low light.
We aren't towing (yet), but because we got a non-standard tray (wider than the Mitsubishi one by a whisker) on the ute (it's a 2016 Triton, but the dealer put a different brand tray on), the original mirrors didn't give good visibility. The Mitsubishi spacers were $700 the pair, plus fitting. The mirrors (the ones without indicators) were $745 including fitting. Some places quoted $100 to fit, so we got lucky in the end.
Checked with police officers in Dalby (we stopped for coffee, they stopped for the same thing at the same time, they admired the wrap on the ute and so we got talking about roads, cars, travel), they checked the mirrors and assured us they ARE legal width, so long as we keep them at the standard setting when not towing.

Good one Rosie. I also love my Clearviews. Between them and the rear camera on the back of the van I have great view of the world around me. I would never leave home without them.
Oooops, I can't :)
Good to hear they are legal too after many comments on the forum over time.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Yes, manually extended. I have electric mirrors that allow you to adjust the top mirror with power but the bottom mirror is by hand like the extention.

Hmmm don't want to be a wet blanket but I were trying to pass a motor home yesterday in my patrol ute apart from the insensitive driver sitting on the white line so I couldn't see past her yes it just happened to be mum driving but I digress ,every time I tried to peak around to see if I could pass all I could see was them great big clear view mirrors at the perfect height that I couldn't see up the darn road, had to wait for her to wobble ocross enough that I could see past for fear or having a hear on just to see if it was safe to pass,
Not happy Jan as I were trying to get to town to see grand daughter before her early arvo nap.
Made it though

Mistake that I made was not getting the Clearviews with the inbuilt blinkers.
Was OK on my NT Pajero because it had repeater blinkers on the side of the front panels.
I removed the Clearviews from the 2009 NT and fitted them to my new 2016 NX but it doesn't have the repeat blinkers and I'm now running around, illegal as I don't have repeat blinkers.
Currently looking at the Narva website with the plan to affixing blinkers to the outside body of the Clearview mirrors themselves; thus making my rig all nice and legal.

The mirrors are great - so much clearer view when towing.
The only drawback I have found is the extra width necessary for the mirrors when going into narrow areas or parking. I now look for a parking bay on the end of a row because the mirrors can make it harder for the bays on both side to open their front doors.

Agree, great mirrors do not know how I survived without.
Driving is a breeze as can now see everything. I have the full model for the Amarok as I have the Ultimate. No vibration even when extended. Yes tuck them in when parked and likewise park away as far as I can from everyone else JUST IN CASE
If you are towing a van wider then your car then these a bloody brilliant you can almost see around corners :)

If you g to the Clearview website you can download the compliance certificate for your mirrors. We carry it in our glovebox. If your vehicle had blinkers on the original mirrors you must have them on the Clearview mirrors. We had them on our Prado and now have them on the new vehicle.
Clearview have a policy to tell you if the mirrors you intend to order from them should be side "blinker" or not. In my case my DMax was fitted with them and they told me they would only sell them to me that way.
Problem is with agents very often - ARB is their national retail agent and from my many experience with that company, they don't give a toss about what they sell you - just make a sale. Ive spent about $6000 all up with ARB with various extras and wouldn't use them ever again.

Clearview here too. Over $800 in my bailiwick.. and worth every cent. Yes they do take a little getting used to but nothing compares for towing. Hardest ones to steal too, which was our initial reason for coughing up for them. Very handy to be able to fold them in in our tight carport and in parking areas.
