The latest flyer from Aldi has caravaning specials on sale on Saturday 10 September.
Items include 4 person tent; air mattresses; portable toilet; battery camping shower; pop up en-suite tent; several type of chairs; sleeping bags; caste iron cooking set; camp beds; folding solar panel; sealed lead acid battery; 2000W generator; LED torch.
And for the early birds: the 40L portable fridge/freezer is on sale again for $499!
The portable toilet is interesting as it is a round shape rather than the traditional square porta-pottie. It has a weight rating of 200 kilograms - enough for anybody I should think.
We finally managed to get into ALID's here in Perth, yesterday for the first time,
I was pleasantly surprised at the prices of most items, not a dramatic decrease in prices , but there was definitely a saving to be made overall.
Still no home delivery of the Aldi catalogue , but we managed to pick up the one with all the camping gear in it which starts on the 10th of Sept.
Some great buys there, but I doubt the generator ( at 2000w ) will be powerful enough to run a Air Con on a Caravan, still handy for the camper and the price is pretty god a $499.00.
I Quizzed the Bloke on the check-out about when they will be selling Wine & Spirits. "BAD NEWS" not here until next year, !!!

The fridge they sold last year and I assume its the same this year, is a sterling brand. If you put it side by side withba waeco its the same except for branding and inside baskets. Last year price was $459 from memory and the year before it was just over $400. It has a danfos compressor motor. Mate bought one 2yrs ago and its still going ok. Plastic has discoloured a little but he then put a cover on it so the sun no longer effects the plastic. I would buy one if I thought my 45year old engel might bite the dust. But it just keeps on going.
